CHINA: The Importers Paradise

It is seen that from the medieval times import and export has always been a driving force in ascertaining the country’s economy and an integral part of country’s trade and commerce. In the last few decades the export import policies and laws drafted by the Indian government has made the trading quite easier and smoother with our neighbouring countries, especially from China. China is one of the fastest growing economies of the world and is catering to the demand of goods all over the world. It has emerged to be a prime exporter of various products in recent times.

The trade relation with China has taken off in the last decade with imports of finer quality of goods at a cheaper rate. Though limitations were there initially but now with proper scanning of suppliers finding the right supplier are no longer a tough job, still there remains another hurdle which is negotiating the best price along with translation and customs and it requires dedicate sourcing knowledge and expertise but thanks to the developments in recent times, we can see a lot of sourcing firms all over India who are providing sourcing services to clients making trade between India and China easier. Delhi, the national capital of India is now an important trading hub for goods imported from China. Among the various products that are imported frequently. Toys and Gift Items along with Stationery, Crockery, Home & Kitchen appliances, apparels & accessories deserve special mention.

It is worthy to mention that the demand of the Chinese products in Delhi market is very high and the sourcing companies are taking full advantage of it. These companies through proper scanning, quality control and periodic checking are providing the best quality products from China for client at reasonable rates. The traders selling the Chinese products in India now understand the consumer behaviour and it is not possible for them to keep a good margin for themselves if they are procuring from the local manufacturers and selling them in the Indian market. In the current decade due to importers satisfaction many products are imported from China and in the next few years the sourcing industry will see an upward curve in terms of profitability.
